Our music courses encourage learners to strengthen their music theory knowledge and to broaden their understanding and appreciation of different artists, instruments and genres. As well as developing their practical abilities, these courses are an opportunity to learn a new skill and help towards supporting personal wellbeing.
This year, we have guitar courses which embed the fundamentals of guitar playing, including, reading guitar notation, strumming and picking techniques. We also have keyboard courses which teach learners how to read stave notation and note order, right and left-hand technique, and how to play chords and rhythms. On both courses, a different genre is covered each week and include popular hits which learners can play to develop their skills.
