We have a variety of fully accessible spaces available for hire. Spaces include our lower gallery, classrooms, two different sized halls, and our Old Library Cafe.
WiFi, PCs, projectors and interactive smart boards are available in all meeting rooms.
We also offer catering services, of tea, coffee, juice, cake and biscuits.

Lower Gallery
Our lower gallery is suitable for groups and individuals looking to exhibit their work. The wall space is appropriate for larger exhibitions too.
Applicants can propose to provide public workshops, lectures or other relevant community activity in lieu of rent for the space. It is expected that exhibitors provide as a minimum:
- A talk about their work / exhibition that is open to the public (this can be as part of an Opening Event)
- classes or workshops open to the public and promote these sufficiently to attract 20 participants.
Leicester Adult Education takes 25% commission (which includes VAT) on all sales.

Hansom Hall
The Leicester Adult Education College boasts the Grade II listed Hansom Hall. Designed by Joseph Hansom, inventor of the Hansom Cab, this prestigious hall can accommodate up to 250 people*.
We have previously accommodated:
. Conferences, meetings and group training sessions
. Just the Tonic Comedy Club
. Leicester Comedy Festival
. Art & Photography Exhibitions
. Music Concerts
. Themed Events and much more!
*280 standing, 250 seated in rows as show in images and 120 seated in cabaret style seating. If you are planning on having dancers, other performances or bringing extra equipment, then capacity will need to be reduced. We will discuss this with you.
£55 + £11 VAT = £66 per hour.
(Leicester City Council and Charity discount: £45 + £9 VAT = £54 per hour.

Satta Hashem Hall
The Satta Hashem Hall, named after the local Iraqi artist whose work is featured on the hall walls, can accommodate up to 100 people*.

* 100 seated in rows, 150 standing and 45 in cabaret style seating. If you are planning on having dancers, other performances or bringing extra equipment, then capacity will need to be reduced. We will discuss this with you.

The Old Library Café
The Old Library Café serves hot and cold drinks, snacks and cakes. The café can hold 96 people seated or 280 standing with the area cleared.

Classrooms
We have a variety of classrooms, which are suitable for different amounts of people. All classrooms have access to WiFi, computers and interactive whiteboards.
