This one-day course is intended for people with mixed levels of experience. The tutor will ensure that total beginners will get the instruction and support they need, and that those who are more advanced in the subject will be given tasks with more challenge.

● Learn how to make a functional, decorative or sculptural piece of glass. ● Learn how to score, cut and prepare glass for fusing. ● Learn how to work with bullseye glass and other compatible materials. ● Learn how to use primary sources of inspiration to create your own designs.

There will be no exams or qualifications, and the course will focus on creative activities. The tutor will use a combination of group demonstrations and one-to-one support. So that you can be successful in learning the subject, we do require that you arrive promptly. You will be asked to contribute to a Group Learning Plan on which you and the tutor will be able to chart your progress. You will be expected to comment briefly in writing on your learning, and your tutor will give you feedback and suggestions on ways in which you can improve. Goggles, gloves and aprons provided. Please don't wear open shoes with open toes. Extra costs You will be required to pay towards materials. A small coaster 10cm x 10cm from bullseye glass will cost £1.10. Extra materials are available in packs for £10 Please note that your glass will not be ready to take home on the day, as it will need to be finished in the kiln. The tutor will inform you of the date when your work will be ready to collect from the College Reception.
