This course will introduce you to best practice of Social Media platforms to help you with your business, whether that's self-employed or skills required for your job.

Throughout the one day session you will get an insight into how to navigate and target content on social media platforms and best practice for social media advertising.

The course will introduce you to social media, looking at some of the major platforms. You will be given demonstrations on how to navigate these platforms, how to set up a business account and how to develop strategies that are effective. Social media is an ever changing, interactive space and throughout this course you will be developing skills to use social media more effectively.

There are no formal entry requirements. However, the course is designed for those who are regular users of the internet and comfortable with multitasking. This course will be beneficial for people who have only used social media accounts for personal use as well as those who have explored the business side of social media in small amounts and want to learn more. If you already have a thriving social media presence this course will likely not be suitable for you.

There are a range of course options to help you develop skills to create and develop your business plan, improve your digital skills for business and understand your business finances. You might also benefit from undertaking a qualification in business administration, bookkeeping or accounting software, which are all valuable for self-employed people. Leicester Adult Education are pleased to offer a free, impartial in-house careers service to support our learners to make decisions around their future career goals and choices. We have physical and digital resources available to support you and face to face careers appointments with our qualified and experienced adviser, all of which are easily accessed once enrolled.
