Maths Level 2 FS Online

We offer online Maths qualifications from Entry 3 to Level 2. We deliver City & Guilds Functional Skills. We will discuss with you the most appropriate starting point for your maths studies. These qualifications will enable you to develop the knowledge and skills needed to: • gain a qualification • progress on to other courses • support your children with their maths homework

• number • measure, shape and space • handling data • maths language and vocabulary • problem solving by using different strategies and memory techniques • using the internet safely

We offer: Twice-a-week online courses – 4.5 hours a week, where exams take place during February and June/July. If you can commit to 4.5 hours a week you will be able to complete two levels of maths in one academic year. Once-a-week online courses – 2.5 hours per week with most exams taking place in June/July. The classes are online, so you will need to have a good level of IT/digital skills. Your teacher will use Google Classroom, Google Meet, and other websites to help you access online learning. Therefore, you must access to a PC, laptop or tablet and internet connectivity. Prior to starting an online course, you will need to complete a 4 hour course on how to use Google Classroom. To successfully complete the course, you must log on promptly for each lesson, and attend at least 80% of the lessons. You will also be expected to complete weekly homework. You will be given an Individual Learning Plan in which you and the tutor will be able to monitor your progress. Before starting an online Maths course with Leicester Adult Education will you need to complete an initial assessment in both Maths and English. This will enable you to be placed on the most appropriate course to meet your needs.
