Advanced Spanish: Outstanding Spanish and Latin American Writers

This course is suitable for those who have an advanced knowledge of the language (CEFR Level C1/C2). Ideally, you would have completed a level 5 course.

You will go beyond pure language learning and you will explore historical and cultural aspects while fine-tuning your fluency and grammar.

For years, Latin American literature has entranced readers worldwide with its complex themes, creative mix of reality and fantasy, and unique take on form and structure. The region has produced several Nobel Prize-winning poets, novelists, and short story writers and boasts a rich and varied literary tradition. We will discover and explore the lives and works of renowned Latin American writers such as Gabriel García Marquez, Isabel Allende and Jorge Luis Borges. There will be no exams or qualifications. This course will mainly be delivered in the language using an immersive approach.

You need to have a good understanding of the spoken language, as well as be able to produce it verbally (to a greater or lesser degree of accuracy) in order to access lessons and complete tasks effectively.

This course leads to advanced courses (CEFR C1/C2). Your tutor will be able to give you more information before the end of your course.
