Advanced Italian Cinema: Nuovo Cinema Paradiso

This course is suitable for those who have an advanced knowledge of the language (CEFR Level C1/C2).

Learning Italian can be an exciting journey, and what better way to do it than by watching Italian movies? Italian movies offer a window into the Italian way of life, allowing you to pick up the language's nuances and cultural insights. Today's choice is "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso"

There will be no exams or qualifications. This course will mainly be delivered in the language using an immersive approach. Whilst you will, predominantly, be using speaking and listening skills in class, it is also important to recognise and address the fact that reading and writing skills are also very important at this level. Reading and writing will be explored as part of weekly homework, via Google Classroom, which the tutor will mark and feed the results back to you. This will help you both to know what needs to be done to help you progress.

You need to have a good understanding of the spoken language, as well as be able to produce it verbally (to a greater or lesser degree of accuracy) in order to access lessons and complete tasks effectively.

This course leads to advanced courses (CEFR C1/C2). Your tutor will be able to give you more information before the end of your course.
