Be Yourself: Make Music & Sing

This course is for people aged 25 or over, who have moderate learning disabilities. This course will benefit people who enjoy listening to and creating music. Learners will have the opportunity to play a variety of different instruments, choosing different styles of music to sing and performing as part of a group, and/or as a performer.

On this course you will learn all about music! You will have the opportunity to discuss and share what types of music you enjoy listening to and, as a group, create new and exciting pieces of music and songs. You will get to try different instruments and have a go at singing too.

Our Be Yourself courses focus on fun, practical activities that will help you to gain and develop the skills to share your feelings and thoughts and to let people know more about who you are. All or our courses will have a Google Classroom which is an online place where your tutor will share information about your course. You can get on your Google Classroom via your secure leicesterlearns account. Your tutor can help you to do this. Whilst learning with us, you will be given an Individual Learning Plan. This will be used to share your course outcomes and your personal outcome and how much progress you are making towards them. Every session, your tutor will chat with you about your work and how you are getting on with your learning and the projects you are working on.

For people aged 25 and over with moderate learning disabilities. Before you join the course, you will meet one of our team who will help you make the right choice of course and to make sure we understand the best way to help you learn, progress, and enjoy your time.
