Google Classroom + 365

This is an introduction to using Google Classroom, our teaching and learning platform and an introduction to accessing Microsoft 365. It is an important induction session that will prepare you for any of our Digital Qualifications or Microsoft Skills courses.

You will learn how to: manage your Leicesterlearns Google account on a mobile device; understand and respond to announcements and assignments in Classroom; complete assignments using the relevant app (such as Docs etc) and check marks; navigate different apps effectively, such as Classroom, Camera, Docs, etc. In addition, you will learn how to access Microsoft 365 both at college and from home.

You will be supported to access your college account and navigate between that and any personal accounts on your phone or PC. You will download Google Classroom, Docs and Meet apps onto your phone and be shown how to access your Classroom and complete basic assignments. Additionally, you will also be shown how to set up your Microsoft 365 Education account and access the software on the 365 platform.

This course is designed as an induction to prepare you for Digital qualifications or Microsoft Skills courses at Leicester Adult Education. You will most likely already be enrolled on another course and have been asked to attend this induction to prepare you for your course.
