French Level 2 year 1

This course is for those who have already taken our French Level 1 language or similar course. You'll need a solid base to build on what you already know. You might also have gained enough language skills through living abroad or spending time with friends and family who speak it.

These courses will give you a variety of survival and social skills in the language and enable you to understand and use simple language to cope with predictable everyday matters.

In this non-qualification course you will learn the language in an immersive way. The tutor will be responsive to the class needs, responding to the group weaknesses. Learners are expected to predominately practice their speaking and listening skills in class and practice reading and writing skills as part of regular homework tasks. This gives the tutor an opportunity to identify group weaknesses and to provide you with personalised feedback to help you improve.

You will need to have completed roughly 120 hours of learning the language. This could be from attending our "French Level 1" or a similar learning experience.

This course leads to a Level 2 year 2 course or similar. Your tutor will be able to give you more information before the end of your course.
