Be Independent: Maths Skills for Everyday

This course is for people aged 25 or over, who have moderate learning disabilities. This course will benefit people who want to develop their Maths skills so that they can be more involved in everyday tasks in their lives.

On this course you will develop your maths skills through a variety of different fun and practical activities. Focusing on everyday maths skills, you will grow your confidence in dealing with everyday situations.

Our Be Independent courses focus on fun, practical activities that will help you to gain and develop the skills to do more for yourself and others in your everyday life. All or our courses will have a Google Classroom which is an online place where your tutor will share information about your course. You can get on your Google Classroom via your secure leicesterlearns account. Your tutor can help you to do this. Whilst learning with us, you will be given an Individual Learning Plan. This will be used to share your course outcomes and your personal outcome and how much progress you are making towards them. Every session, your tutor will chat with you about your work and how you are getting on with your learning and the projects you are working on.

For people aged 25 and over with moderate learning disabilities. Before you join the course, you will meet one of our team who will help you make the right choice of course and to make sure we understand the best way to help you learn, progress, and enjoy your time.
