Digital Skills for ESOL

Digital Skills for ESOL is a course that supports learners with English as an additional language with their digital skills. This course will teach you basic IT skills which will help you to stay safe online and do day to day online activities.

It is delivered on a face to face session and will support ESOL learners with speaking, reading and writing whilst using a computer. You will learn how to: • book doctor's appointments • access other websites • stay safe online • read, write, and send emails.

This is a face to face, classroom-based course. You will be learning in an individualised environment at your own level and pace with the help and support of an experienced tutor. Your tutor will support you throughout this course until you have achieved your outcomes, at which point they will discuss progression opportunities for you.

There are no formal entry requirements. However, you are expected to have basic entry level English reading, listening and comprehension skills.

You will be able to improve and develop your Digital skills further on one of our progression courses. This could lead onto the Qualification Accredited Course Essential Digital Skills for Work (Entry Level 3 and Level 1). Leicester Adult Education are pleased to offer a free, impartial in-house careers service to support our learners to make decisions around their future career goals and choices. We have physical and digital resources available to support you and face to face careers appointments with our qualified and experienced adviser, all of which are easily accessed once enrolled.
