These two 2.5hr workshops will help you to develop the techniques you need to produce an effective CV that highlights your skills and experience in a positive way.

The workshop will cover a range of skills needed for effective CV writing. You will learn how to: • edit and update your CV • tailor your CV to job descriptions • describe your employment history.

You will be using a computer to produce a CV and you will also be required to take part in other group activities and discussions.

There are no formal entry requirements, but you will be using IT. If you are not confident with your IT skills consider our Learn how to use your Google Classroom or Digital Skills for Beginners courses. You must have minimum Level 1 English Skills (ESOL or Functional Skills) to benefit from this course. An alternative option is available if this is not the case.

This course is part of Leicester Adult Education's suite of free employability courses providing you with the skills you need to find employment. In addition, you could also consider undertaking an accredited course to enhance your vocational skills further.
