Cooking on a Budget

The workshops are suitable for adults with no previous knowledge of the subject, as the tutor will start with the basics. All resources and materials will be provided on the day along with refreshments. Open to Leicester city adult residents.

This course will provide lots of ideas and methods to consider when buying and cooking food for the family on a budget. A slow cooker can help in cooking cheap, nutritious family meals. Session 1 • How to reduce food costs • Calculate running cost of cooking appliances • Find healthy, low cost recipes Session 2 - How to use a Slow Cooker – Take one home with ingredients for first meal (depends on availability of cookers) (*must attend both sessions to receive a slow cooker)
