Digital Skills for Beginners

This Microsoft Skills introductory course is designed for those looking to build confidence in using computers and develop essential digital skills for personal or professional use. Whether you are progressing from the Digital Skills for Beginners course or have some experience with basic formatting tools, this course will help you take the next step in your digital journey.

• Using Google Classroom for learning purposes. • Microsoft 365 to support your personal or professional tasks. • Organising, saving, and retrieving files effectively. • Formatting text and documents • Adding and formatting images • Understanding copyright rules • Online safety practices • Managing, and using emails effectively • Begin creating and editing PowerPoint

Our course is engaging and informative, offering a variety of activities and resources to help you build your confidence in accessing the digital world. You will develop essential skills that can be applied in both personal and workplace settings. This course is 2.5 hours per week for 10 weeks.

• Some experience with basic formatting tools. • Progression from a Beginners Digital Skills course (or equivalent) is recommended but not essential. • Demonstrate a minimum of English Entry 3 skills. • Have access to a Smartphone.

After completing this course you can progress to our accredited Digital Functional Skills Entry 3 qualification course.
