Let's Get Digital Plus Part 1 - Storage and Security

Step confidently into the digital world with us! Ideal for beginners and those who have completed our Let’s Get Digital course; this practical course will help you adapt your device to better suit your everyday needs. This friendly, hands-on course will help you feel more confident using your phone or tablet. You will learn how to use helpful accessibility and safety features, including adjusting visual display settings, sound, touch, and hearing options, and using keyboard and voice input tools. The course will also show you how to set up important emergency features such as Medical ID for medics, emergency contacts, SOS and quick dial, and reminders for taking medication, so your device can better support your everyday needs and wellbeing.

This is a practical course which will enable you to adapt your own device to better suit your everyday needs. Please bring a fully charged phone or tablet with you for the 2 hour session. Delivered in small groups, this classroom based course is for beginners and those with low confidence, offering a supportive and hands-on learning experience. You will learn step by step, at your own level and pace with the help and support of an experienced tutor. You will work with your tutor to create an Individual Learning Plan, which will be used to track your progress and support your learning throughout the course.

Perfect for beginners, and those who have already completed our Let’s Get Digital course. There are no formal entry requirements. However, you are expected to have basic entry level English reading, listening and comprehension skills.

Completing this course will help build your confidence and skills, preparing you to progress onto a wide range of further courses available at Leicester Adult Education.
