L2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People

The L2 Award In Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People is an accredited, recognised qualification valued by employers. It is designed to provide individuals with the essential knowledge and understanding required to safeguard children and young people, particularly within the workplace. It is suitable for anyone working with children and young people, whether in paid or voluntary roles.

By enrolling in this course, you will develop knowledge in the following areas: • Understanding how to safeguard and protect children, young people, and practitioners in the workplace. • Knowing how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused.

This is a short knowledge-based course delivered through a variety of teaching methods. You will complete an open-response workbook, which will be assessed for certification.

To enrol, you will need to undertake a vocational and English initial assessment to ensure this course is suitable for you. Confidence using digital skills is essential, as the qualification is completed online. A minimum of Level 1 English is required.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you may progress to: • Level 1 Preparing to Work in Schools. • Level 1 & Level 2 Introduction to Mental Health and Wellbeing • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualifications. • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid.
