Free Maths Courses for Parents!
Join our Information, Advice and Assessment Sessions
As part of Multiply, we are offering families, parents, grandparents and carers free maths courses to help improve their numeracy skills. Our Multiply courses give parents, grandparents and carers the skills needed to support their children with schoolwork and homework.
We also aim to develop their confidence with everyday tasks that require numeracy skills, including:
- Working out the time
- Family budgeting
- Cooking together as a family
- Helping children with their maths homework
- Understanding facts and information in the news and media
We believe that learning maths can be fun!
Our courses will be taught using interesting activities and games that you can enjoy together as a family. We will also help parents to safely find online resources so they can continue to learn from home after the courses finish.

Our Family Learning Multiply courses will be held at schools across Leicester, where we already run our Family Learning courses. Please ask about Family Learning and Multiply at your child’s school reception. You can also contact our Family Learning Team by emailing familylearning@leicester.gov.uk
Alternatively, you can pop into our Multiply Hub. Mindy, our Numeracy Lead Tutor for Multiply and Family Learning will be there on Wednesday afternoons. However, there will always be a maths specialist at the Multiply Hub on hand to help you Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm.

Family Learning understands that different families and children have different needs, so we’ll be putting on bespoke courses depending on what parents tell us they would like to learn. So, please do let us know what numeracy skills you would like to learn by contacting us on the details above or by talking to your children’s school reception.
If you’re a parent, grandparent or carer, and would like to improve your own numeracy skills a side from our Family Learning programme, you are welcome to join any of our other Multiply courses.
