Maths Entry 3 courses develop learner’s skills in everyday maths.
Learners will need to complete an English Entry 3 course before progressing onto this maths course as learners will need to understand and read English.
Maths Entry 2 teaches learners how to:
- Complete addition and subtraction ( + and - )
- Complete multiplication and division ( × and ÷ )
- Feel confident with your change when shopping
- Work with money, time and temperature
- Measure and weigh items
- Identify different shapes
- Work with common fractions, percentage and decimals
- Read simple diagrams, maps and giving directions
- Understand simple graphs and charts
- Understand maths language and vocabulary as well as improve your English
- There will be opportunities to look at a variety of functional tasks in real-life contexts.
- Increase their knowledge in problem solving by using different strategies and memory techniques as well as independent learning and study skills.
- Feel more confident with maths and know what to do to improve further.
