2026 Learner Art Exhibition with Opening Evening

Now in its 5th year, this inspiring exhibition showcases artwork created by our adult learners. Don’t miss the opening evening on Thursday 25 June! 

The exhibition runs Thursday 25 June – Friday 5 September and is free to attend.

Our Learner Art Exhibition, We Present: Leicester Adult Education, is back for 2026, showcasing an eclectic display of work created across our Arts courses.

The exhibition features a wide range of artwork, including Draw, Paint & Mixed Media, Watercolour Painting, Botanical Illustration, Life Drawing and Portraiture, alongside pieces created by our Pottery, Jewellery, and Sewing and Textiles learners.

We’re also proud to showcase work from learners in our LLDD programme (for learners with learning differences). Alongside this, we’ve collaborated on a number of community inclusion projects throughout the year, with a selection of this work featured in the exhibition.

The exhibition opens with our open evening on Thursday 25 June and closes on Friday 5 September. You can find the exhibition at Leicester Adult Education College on Belvoir Street (LE1 6QL) in the balcony gallery above the café. Open in usual opening times.

On Thursday 25th June, from 7-8:30pm, to celebrate the launch of the exhibition we're holding an open evening. We'd love you to join us and celebrate our learner’s achievements with us.

Location = Balcony Gallery and Old Library Café in Leicester Adult Education College, Belvoir Street, LE1 6QL.

At the open evening, we will be presenting the Frank Kerslake Award, recognising impactful artwork and honouring a much-loved learner. The winner is selected by a panel of judges.

So, come along to view the exhibition before it opens to the public, meet some of the learners behind the artwork, enjoy complimentary refreshments. Everyone with an interest is welcome to join.
