We have partnered with Centre for Fun and Families and NHS Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland to deliver free Family First Aid workshops!
Get in the Know: Family First Aid workshops have been designed to help parents, grandparents and carers gain knowledge and practical skills to look after their children’s health and understand which medical service to approach first.
On these workshops you will find out how to:
. Keep your family safe treating minor accidents and injuries,
. Apply bandages, carry out CPR and the recovery position,
. Care for common childhood illness,
. Identify the right medical/health service to support you and your family.
You will understand when to use:
. 111 (the non-emergency medical helpline)
. Your local pharmacy for advice when your child is unwell or injured
. Your local GP
. A&E
We will also help you to feel confident to make the correct choices to care for your child!
Each participant will receive a free first aid pack.
