This non-accredited intermediate course is focused on developing your understanding and skills using Microsoft 365: Excel, PowerPoint and Word. This course is designed to be flexible and allow you a choice regarding your modules. It's an ideal course for those with a good understanding of editing documents and knowledge, especially helpful for those wanting to work towards Entry 3 and/or Level 1 digital qualifications.

In this course you will be able to learn a mixture of Excel, PowerPoint and Word. This may include, but not limited to: formatting word documents, inserting and editing images, setting up presentations, being creative with visual elements of PowerPoint, using formula, creating and formatting graphs and charts.

This course will take place in one of the digital suites at Leicester Adult Education. Throughout the course you will be taught a variety of skills related to Excel, PowerPoint and Word. We aim to be flexible in this course and allow you to choose your area of focus. Your tutor will discuss this with you during the first couple of sessions helping you choose which application(s) will be most suitable for you. As the course progresses you will be given tasks appropriate to your level and focus of study as well as being taught a range of skills across Microsoft 365. Being a non-accredited course there are no exams, you can work at your own pace and spend time practising your skills.

The intermediate course requires you to demonstrate skills at approximately Entry 3 Level, you may be studying Essential Digital Skills - Entry 3 alongside this intermediate course, or perhaps recently passed the Entry 3 qualification. You will also be expected to demonstrate at least Entry Level 3 English reading, listening and comprehension skills.

On completing the course you may be ready to progress on to Essential Digital Skills, either Entry 3 or Level 1 You may also want to continue developing your Microsoft Skills and progress onto the Microsoft Skills - Advanced course.
