This non-accredited advanced course is focused on enhancing your understanding and skills of using Microsoft 365: Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. This course is designed to be flexible and allow you a choice regarding your modules. It's an ideal course to further enhance and improve your knowledge, especially helpful for those wanting to work towards Level 2 or higher qualifications

In this course you will be able to learn Microsoft 365 including a mixture of Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. This may include, but not limited to: cloud and hybrid use of 365, handling databases, understanding queries and tables, using pivot tables, more advanced animations and effects, creating templates and more detailed documents.

This course will take place in one of the digital suites at Leicester Adult Education. Throughout the course you will be taught a variety of skills related to Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. We aim to be flexible in this course and allow you to choose your area of focus. Your tutor will discuss this with you during the first couple of sessions helping you choose which application(s) will be most suitable for you. As the course progresses you will be given tasks appropriate to your level and focus of study as well as being taught a range of skills across Microsoft 365. Being a non-accredited course there are no exams, you can work at your own pace and spend time practising your skills.

This advanced course requires you to demonstrate skills of at least Level 1, you may have recently passed the Level 1 qualification or are looking to start a Level 2 course. You will also be expected to demonstrate at least Entry Level 3 English reading, listening and comprehension skills.

On successful completion, you will be ready to progress to a Functional Digital Skills Level 1 qualification, equipping you with further skills for the workplace or personal development.
