Maths Level 1 Functional Skills ONLINE

Our online Maths Functional Skills Level 1 and Level 2 courses are designed to help you gain confidence and develop essential maths skills. These courses are perfect if you want to gain a recognised qualification, progress to the next level or to vocational courses.

The qualifications cover three content areas: •Using numbers and the number system •Using common measures, shape and space •Handling data and information You will also learn new maths language and vocabulary and strategies for problem solving.

Courses are delivered online with flexible options: • Twice-a-week courses: 4.5 hours per week, complete two levels in one academic year. Exams in February and June/July. • Once-a-week courses: 2.25 hours per week, exams mainly in June/July. To successfully complete the course, you must: • Have a pc, laptop or tablet. • Log on promptly for each session. • Attend at least 80% of lessons. • Complete weekly homework.

• Complete a Maths initial assessment to determine your level. • You must have access to a PC, laptop, or tablet, stable internet connectivity and a quiet area to study. • A good level of digital skills is essential. Before starting, you will need to complete a 'How to Use Google Classroom' course.

Completing this course will boost your confidence in using maths in everyday situations and to enhance employability opportunities. You may also progress to further Functional Skills Maths courses or GCSE Maths.
