French: Advanced Conversation. News and Debate

Can you speak French with some level of speed and confidence and you want to practise through debate and discussion of current affairs? Then this course is for you

This course will mainly focus on topics that will promote learner interaction and discussion in the language with the aim of maintaining or improving their language skills.

In this non-qualification course you will practise the language in an immersive way. The tutor will tailor the content to the needs of the group. Learners are expected to predominately practise their speaking and listening skills in class and practise reading and writing skills as part of regular homework tasks. This gives the tutor an opportunity to identify group weaknesses and to provide learners with personalised feedback to help them improve.

Learners joining this course are expected to be able to have a conversation in French about advanced topics provided they have some thinking time.

This course leads to further advanced French courses.
