We offer a wide range of digital and computer skills courses to support individuals to thrive in today’s digital world. Our courses include those for complete beginners to those seeking advanced qualifications for career progression.

Our non-accredited courses provide a supportive and enjoyable environment to learn the essentials and gain confidence online. Whether learners want to use their personal devices more confidently (phones, tablets, I-pad), or develop their computer skills, we have something for them.

Learners can also go on to achieve recognised qualifications, which are essential for boosting employability and becoming confident in navigating the digital landscape.

We have once-a-week and twice-a-week courses that run in the mornings, afternoons or evenings – designed to fit in with the learners schedule.

Let's Get Digital
Are you, or someone you know, looking to develop your basic digital skills with smart phones or tablets? Our sessions will teach you the skills to get online confidently and safely. Learn more about Let's Get Digital.

Computer Skills for Beginners
This course is ideal for those who are new to using computers or have limited experience. It is perfect for individuals who want to build confidence when accessing the digital world. In a supportive and enjoyable environment, learners will be taught how to stay safe online and improve their digital skills in typing, formatting and using images.

Microsoft Skills - Introduction
A first step at working with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. This course will help learners to gain confidence, learn key skills such as handling files and documents, and prepare them for an Entry-level qualification. This course is perfect for those who have completed our beginners’ course.

Digital Functional Skills Entry 3
This course looks at fundamental skills for using different devices, communicating online, transacting skills, creating and editing, and staying safe online. These key skills will enable learners to grow in confidence and use digital technology both in everyday life and work.

Microsoft Skills - Intermediate
This course introduces learners to key Excel principles, making it the perfect opportunity to develop skills for those who have never used Excel or haven’t done so for a while. Learners will also increase their skills with Word and PowerPoint.

Digital Functional Skills Level 1
This qualification course builds on the knowledge gained at Entry 3, where fundamental skills become more established. Learners will look at devices, communication, transacting, creating and editing, and staying safe and responsible online.

Level 2 Certificate in Digital and IT User Skills
This 9-month course looks at the advanced Microsoft Office tools on Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. Learners will also get the chance to explore digital careers and build a plan for their next steps. This course is engaging, and particularly useful for those wanting to refine their skills and progress further into their career or learning journey.

AI - Practical Skills
This course approaches AI from a perspective that learners are in control, and that the tools can be used in a useful, fun way. The course looks at tools such as ChatGPT, as well as helpful tips and skills to use AI in
everyday life.

Learner Story: Sally - Online Self-employment Boost! 

Sally was a self-employed oboe teacher for 10 years. To keep up with technology and to support her business, she joined our Digital Skills courses.

Sally increased her skills in Microsoft packages, including PowerPoint and Excel and also developed skills in using the internet such as editing videos and embedding YouTube videos into her student’s materials.
