Learner Story: Avani - Textiles Supporting my Mental Health
Avani turned to crafting after struggling with her mental health following a miscarriage. Textiles was one of these, and so she later joined our Sewing and Textile’s course to develop her skills.
“The course has definitely helped my confidence to sew and has sparked the joy I get when I create and make something. The course really provides some nice ‘me time’ away from the stresses of everyday life. We are lucky to have a great group.”
Avani has created some wonderful pieces, and really enjoys creating clothes for her daughter. You can see one of these pieces in the photo above, taken at our Learner Art Exhibition.
