Maths Entry 2 Functional Skills

Are you looking to improve your maths skills for everyday life or further study? Our Maths Functional Skills Entry Level courses are designed to help you build confidence and practical ability in mathematics. These courses are tailored to your needs, offering qualifications from Entry 1 to Entry 3. Gain a recognised maths qualification, progress on to the next level of Maths or support your children with their schoolwork.

• Using numbers and the number system • Working with common measures, shape and space • Handling data and information • Understanding maths language and vocabulary • Developing strategies for problem solving

We offer two flexible course options: Twice-a-week courses: 4.5 hours per week. Complete two levels of maths in one academic year. Exams in February and June/July. Once-a-week courses: 2.25 hours per week. Exams in June/July. Although classes are face-to-face, your teacher will also use Google Classroom, Google Meet, and other online resources. You will need access to a smartphone or another device. Weekly homework is required, and attendance of at least 80% is expected.

Before starting, you will complete a Maths initial assessment to ensure you are placed on the right course to meet your needs.
