This course will benefit anyone who would like to learn some hints and tips for being more assertive and sense of wellbeing. This runs for three weeks with each weekly session lasting two hours. The course is open to anyone.

The six steps to improve your mental health and wellbeing. You will learn about the importance of connecting with others, getting active, learning new skills and the benefits of gratitude, paying compliments and helping others.

This is short six hour course, three sessions lasting two hours, has no exams or qualifications. Tutor lead and taught in a small group, classroom setting, there is a focus on sharing personal experiences and participating in practical activities. The course relies on learners being willing and able to express their feelings and experiences and there is an emphasis on group support and confidentiality.

Beginners and those with some experience

The course will enhance your sense of wellbeing and hopefully enable you better participate socially and in courses if you are already enrolled, or give you the boost you need to enable you to enrol on other courses within Leicester Adult Education Service or in the community.
