This course will benefit anyone who would like to learn some hints and tips for reducing anxiety levels and improving their sense of wellbeing. This is a six hour course run over three consecutive weeks with each session lasting two hours. It is open to anyone.

The impact of external factors on anxiety, the biology behind social anxiety and how to reduce social-anxiety using a range of simple exercises and techniques and mindfulness.

This is short two six course run over three weeks with no exams or qualifications. Tutor lead and taught in a small group, classroom setting, there is a focus on sharing personal experiences and participating in practical activities. The course relies on learners being willing and able to express their feelings and experiences and there is an emphasis on group support and confidentiality. This short course is repeated each term during the academic year.

Beginners and those with some experience

The course will enhance your sense of wellbeing and enable you to better understand your social anxiety and what you can do to reduce it. This may enable you to participate more effectively socially and in courses if you are already enrolled, or give you the boost you need to enable you to enrol on other courses within Leicester Adult Education Service or in the community.
