Our exhibition, called ‘We Present: Leicester Adult Education’, was created to celebrate the arts as presented by our learners. Our eclectic display showcased what can be achieved on a variety of our Art courses.
Over 100 pieces of art were exhibited on the night for learners, their families, friends and other people who appreciate art to enjoy. Artwork included paintings, drawings, printing, textiles, glass work and more. Here’s some images from the night!
We had a fantastic time, so thank you to all of those who attended. Here’s some feedback from attendees:
“I loved the exhibition as it shows the many arts, crafts, wellbeing course's available”
“Great atmosphere! As an art class student, I think we are so lucky to have this exhibition for the second year. Long may it continue!”
“I really enjoyed seeing my own work displayed in the exhibition as it was only painted in my third week of watercolour classes so i felt privileged to have been chosen. I enjoyed being there with my mum who's always supported my creativity.”
Here's what Rebecca Carter, our Curriculum Coordinator for Arts said:
“Thank you to everyone who visited and supported us for the Open Evening event of our annual Art Exhibition ‘We Present: Leicester Adult Education’. Our learners have worked incredibly hard this year to produce high quality artwork which we are very proud to share with you. The variety of artwork on display is fantastic and represents our Textiles, Glass, Pottery, Drawing, Painting, Jewellery & Craft areas. This event could not have taken place without the dedication of our learners and the support of our highly skilled tutors. A big thank you goes out to everyone, including those behind the scenes, who made this event happen."
Keep an eye out for plans for next year!
